AUCKLAND/TAURANGA – (Apr. 1, 2019) – Johnson Controls is pleased to announce the acquisition of Tauranga based Focus Fire & Security.

“Johnson Controls was looking to develop and grow its presence in the Tauranga area and found Focus Fire & Security had excellent regional knowledge and brought with them strong business contacts. They currently provide quality, cost effective fire solutions to a wide range of businesses”, says Brian Cohalan, Managing Director of Johnson Controls New Zealand.

“The focus of both companies is customer satisfaction and providing them with the best solution possible”, says Brian, “which made this an easy decision for all involved”.

Paul Rea and Cameron Cooper, co-owners of Focus Fire & Security agree, “what we’re most excited about is knowing our customers will benefit from the knowledge, expertise, support, additional staff and system efficiences that Johnson Controls provide”.

Paul will remain in Tauranga as Branch Manager for the Johnson Controls Tauranga branch while Cameron will take on the role of Estimator covering the Tauranga and Waikato areas.
